Trip to Wayanad

All of us in my team at verizon chennai decided to go for a trip.Due to bad climate conditions at Tamilnadu and Andhra all our discussions were mainly foccussed on 'Gods own Country'.we keep on discussing different plans.we had 2 plans one to Munnar,Cochin and Wayanad.

At last we decided to go to Wayanad and we got all information from internet.we find the tickets are not avialable on that day...means 27th April 2007 as May 1st was an holiday .so we waited till 22nd for tatkal .Godwin done booking for us as he was having internet connection at home.we got 7 tickets to Mysore from Chennai .

We started our journey from Chennai central @ 21:30 .After playing cards for some time all fell into sleep.next morning by 8:15 am we reached Mysore junction.

Three of our friends joined us from Mysore..Santhosh Mulkanuri,Pradeep Gadiraju and Vishnu Gudali were working in Verzion Hyderabad but working in our same team.They reached a bit late so we took room near bus stand and finsihed all our refreshement.We went to mysore palace.after spending few time there we got call from our hyderabad friends that they reached Mysore.we rushed to meet them as room key was with us and few of us never met them .we used to talk through VOIP and used to chat in sametime ,a chat program in our company.

we took lunch once they got ready.After that great lunch we rushed into bus stand .we took a Kerala state RTC bus to Sultan Bathery.the journey through Gundulpet was really good.the highway NH 212 pass through forest and we were lucky to spot few elephants and few deer and all.

we reached bathery around 5 pm.we were a bit tired and nothing can be done by that time..we planned to take rest.we took 3 rooms at Alpha tourist home for Rs. 200/room .We arranged Travera for next days trip.He agreed to take 4 places we pointed out with Rs.1500

29th April we woke up early and by 6:30 we went to Edakkal Caves..there we had to walk 1km to reach top..as the tickets were issued only by 9:30 am ,we waited for sometime and after that we climbed a big gate which was locked.we had to go back as one guy threatened us ...we illegely crossed the locked Gate.we took tendor cocunut & went to Kuruva islands we reached there by 10 am..it was a beautiful place...we have to take chagadam to reach the island like place.then we have to cross few water streams.it was really cool place..

Our next aim was to get lunch as we didnt take breakfast.we took it from a small hotel.mainly 'ney chor' and 'fish fry' was taken .we had a considerable amount of vegeterians in the group.then we moved to Banasurasagar dam ..nothing much was there..it was the biggest earth made dam.Next we went to see 'Tamaraseri churam' that was in Kozhikode District.its was great to watch vehicles passing through the passage.then we enquired about Ayurvedic Massage and we moved to pookod Lake .we dont have plan for boating so after birdwatching we moved to Vythiri.few of our friends took massaging.by the time me and 3 other frineds ..Karthik,anup,Gopal and myself went to nearby hill top .it was a great place...we feel very much happy as it was not preplanned and we dont have much expectation then later our friends said they able to spot us from down.Then once our friends finished massaging we returned back to our hotel.

For 30th we booked for one sumo ..first we went to Muthanga wild life sanctuary..we saw their different varities of animal..malabar squirell, deer,elephants...The next was best among all places we went.Mennamutty water falls.we got a small guide..eldose.we were able to find the beautiful waterfalls inside thick forest..the trekking was really dangerous and we enjoyed like anything.then we went to soochipara waterfalls ...that was also very beautiful.then we returned to same lodge..


we woke up very late on 1st morning as we were really tired.after breakfast we took a bus to calicut.our hyderabad friends took bus back to Mysore.we reached calicut at noon time after taking lunch from Sagar.Then we bought kozhikodan halwa for rest of the team(married guys & ladies from our team was not able to join us for trip).then we took a bus to palakkad as we reserved train tickets to Chennai from Palaghat junction.we took dinner from KR Bakery near Olavakkod Junction.Then we wait for Train no.2686..tri- weekly from mangalore to chennai.we reached Chennai by around 8 am 2nd May.

I was there to cancel the ticket achan had taken under quoto system to chennai from Pattambi,as there were no computer reservation at pattambi we can get reserved tickets to few trains including mangalore-chennai mail 2602.

I got ticket for a special train for 20th sunday ...this saved my SICK LEAVE which i was planning to take on 21st as my earlier ticket on train no.2602 was for 21st.

I had to fill the cancellation form so i was searching for a pen..i got from a person in waiting room..there i saw a beautiful girl on red shirt.i always had a soft corner for RED...but i am sure that this is not due to that.i collected the money after cancellation and i heard few passengers taking ticket to North part of kerala..so i enqired about the next train to kuttipuram ,nearby station to my home.Its always better to take bus to valanchery as there was frequent buses and passenger trains never come in time...stil i feel to spend some time there...i took ticket to kuttipuram cost : Rs 5/-and the person distributing ticket assured that thought the right time is 16:20 it will be lateas train to Mumbai ("Netravati")has to cross this train. i thought it will be nice experience as i will get a chance to get down @ Pallipuram railway station..i never seen trains stopping there as i used to travel only in express/superfast train like mangalore-chennai mail.this always happen to me ..when i decide to do something i will find hundreds of other reasons to support that :)

After taking ticket i was waiting with very own stranger girl(i will call her 'AJNABI' as i dont know her name)though i always looked at her she never looked at me..i mean i didnt even get the consideration that i am a humen being.(this is the actual scanario where some reservation should be implemented rather than goverment institutions ..)

After some time another girl came..my ajanbi's friend..they together went to platform..as i dont have any other job left ,i just followed them .

As the train came only by 17:15 only...i got lot of time , she was also coming in the same train. but i couldnt do anything ...as the gravity 'g' value was very big @ pattambi railway station.as the train came she rushed into ladies compartment and i just entered into the nearby compartment.

Its always great to get window seat in left side as u can see 'River Nila' after Pallipuram i think.i was able to take few snaps when train decelerated...i get down at Kuttipuram railway station.then i moved to bus stand nearby to railway station...jut before i enter the bus stand my Ajnabi overtaked me and get into a bus .i didnt know where that bus going ...seems to Ponnani or Kumbidi as the buses parking in that area used to be like that...her bus started moving and i saw a bus to valanchery,i rushed into my bus.
After few minutes my bus entered into NH-17.those who know kuttipuram bus town, understad easily that how our buses gona go now...my bus took U-turn to Calicut side and her bus started going to Guruvayoor side...we are travelling in opposite direction.The distance started increasing and direction changed. ;_( i thought of getting again the same train from same station to meet her again.Dont know when i gona get time & such a coincidence will happen or not...
